Kiev hold Rubin to 0-0 draw in snowy Kazan

KAZAN, Russia, Nov 24 (Reuters) - Dynamo Kiev held Rubin Kazan to a 0-0 draw in a scrappy Champions League encounter on Tuesday, denting both teams’ hopes of progressing from Group F.

Russian champions Rubin, who clinched their second consecutive league title on Saturday, and their Ukrainian opponents had few clear chances in a game played in difficult conditions with snow falling on the pitch.

Rubin’s Argentine striker Alejandro Dominguez missed the best chance late in the first half when his overhead kick was saved by Dynamo goalkeeper Olexander Shovkovsky and Alexander Bukharov headed over the bar with a follow-up.

The draw put Rubin, on six points, level with group leaders Inter Milan, who face European champions Barcelona at Nou Camp later on Tuesday, with Dynamo a point back in fourth place.

Pep has made a triple mistake by letting Eto to go, Keeping Henery and thiking that Ibra would give more than Eto.

For all the people that say Barca is nothing without Eto'o then watch his last game with his new team. He sucks. Good decision from Pep Guardiola.

Many teams are going to be found wanting this year. Barca is diffinitely one of them! The other's, Liverpool, Man U., and Real Madrid. Just watch out for Chelsea and Arsenal. Another strong challange for the EPL. Both will be in semi's. !!!!!

I'm completely taken aback by how many of you idiots can not see how this team sucks w/o Eto'o. They are not going beat Chelsea.

With all due respect to Eto'o, he has hardly impressed at Inter! FACT! Just today, 'despite his incredible scoring rate over his career, Eto'o has never been super-clinical and it was proven tonight as he missed an open goal and a one-on-one...'

LMAO at Ibra haters! Apart from hitting the post, Ibra did quite well, setting countless chances for his teammates, winning every single ball that came his way, and was a force to reckon with in air, chesting, passing the ball to his teammates..It's unfortunate Barca didn't come on top, but there isn't much a team could do when the opposition is camped inside their goalie box..

Agree with Carson Chisenga. Either that or Barca has problems in cold weather. Didn't they have trouble with Kiev as well? And why exactly did they let go of Eto'o? Was he too expensive? Looks like Laporta is getting greedy.
