Inter's Ernesto Paolillo Delighted; Diego Milito Eyes Champions League Final

Inter chief executive Ernesto Paolillo has announced his delight following the Nerazzurri's dramatic 2-1 win over Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League.

The result saw Inter shoot to first place in their group, but qualification is far from assured as both Rubin Kazan and Barcelona are only a point behind them.

"[President Massimo] Moratti called me after the final whistle. He was really happy as the win arrived just hours before the Angelo Moratti centenary celebrations," Paolillo told Il Corriere Dello Sport.

"The three points allowed us to hit first place in a group that is very balanced. It seemed impossible with just minutes to go."

While Paolillo was happy to focus on the short-term, Diego Milito's goals are rather grander.

"We played better in the second half and we won with merit," he said. "We are working to get to the final of this competition as Inter have not won it for a long time. It's not easy, but we want the final."
